Blending of wines is not a common method in Slovakia; but we were introduced to the magic of wine symbiosis again by our friend from France, where this type of wine is very popular. It does mean just mixing whatever was left over. It is about balance. You have to find the right mix of wines in such a way that they become mutually supportive and one wine does not overshadow the other but, on the contrary, enhances its characteristics. In VINTRO 2015 we sought a common ground for Alibernet, Saint Laurent and Blue Portugal.
