The field behind our house in the Ružová dolina valley at Suchá nad Parnou was dusty. We, three sisters, were cleaning windows all the time. One day, during our Sunday lunch with a Jesuit Father, a new era was about to dawn. At least it seemed so, when he said: "Plant a vineyard instead of the rape." It was later on that we have found out that this innocent joke has taken root in our father's head as a wine stone in a hundred year old cask.
"As a farmer, I know how to take care of the vineyards" he tried to convince our mom who already knew that this work is like religion. And he added: "Our daughters will never have to work there".
We, three sisters, can now confirm that our father did not talk rubbish. The second part of a prophecy, though, did not come true, but who cares when there is a vineyard in front of our windows, healthy and beautiful as a park.
